Seaforth Farm Surgery Doctors

Dr Alan Pearce MB.BS, DCH, DRCOG, MRCGP, DipIMC RCS(Ed)
Dr Pearce trained at St George's Hospital in London in 1984 and as a GP in Tunbridge Wells. He runs the child development checks in the surgery with Dr Grimston and is chief trouble-shooter for the IT of the practice. He also provides immediate medical care for the area in and around Hailsham through the local
BASICS scheme, SIMCAS. At weekends he spends a lot of time as Chief Medical Officer for BRSCC at Brands Hatch. He is married with 2 boys.
Dr Paul Holmes MB.BS
Dr Holmes trained at the Royal London Hospital in 1981 and took his GP training in Chelmsford. He is married with two boys.




Dr Alison Grimston MB.BS, BSc, MPhil, DRCOG, DFFP, MRCGP
Dr Grimston finished her undergraduate training in London in 1994, having taken a research option at an earlier stage. She has a special interest in gynaecology and family planning, and is now working at Eastbourne District General Hospital on Friday afternoons in Mr Malak's urogynaecology clinic. She is married with 2 young children, aged 7 and 3. Also helps to run Child Development Checks

Dr Matt Jackson  MB.BS, BSc, MRCGP
Dr Jackson is our newest partner joining in late 2006. He trained in medicine at University College London and after graduation he worked in London and the South East. He trained as a GP locally in Eastbourne and has worked in this area since then. 

Dr Sabina Spencer MA MB BChir DFFP
Dr Spencer qualified in Cambridge in 1991 and trained as a GP in Peterborough. After that she lived in New Zealand for 2 years working in gynaecology. She is married with two young sons.

Seaforth Farm Surgery Practice Nurses

Frances Staplehurst, Linda Elphick and Anne Crossey
Both of our nurses (Frances and Linda) are very experienced and have clinical responsibility for a number of areas including family planning, travel advice and vaccinations. We stock vaccines for travel to most areas of the world and the nurses can give advice on protecting yourself during your stay. We are also a designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre. You can make an appointment to see the nurses without needing to see the doctor first. Anne Crossey is our Health Care Assistant.

Julie Brooker
Julie oversees the running of the practice. She is available to listen to your comments and assist you with any non-medical problems that you may have. We have provided a locked suggestion box near the front door for your comments if you prefer.

Seaforth Farm Surgery Health Visitors

Our health visitors take care of the very young and the elderly with their families in the area. They visit every newborn baby when a few weeks old and with Dr. Pearce ensure that all developmental checks are satisfactory. They can be contacted on Hailsham 01323 446991. You can leave a message on their answering machine if they are out on visits.

Seaforth Farm Surgery Midwife

Jo Easter
Jo is our midwife and cares for all women during and after their pregnancy. Please let your doctor know as soon as possible if you think that you may be pregnant. Ideally we would prefer to see you before your pregnancy to discuss making it as safe as possible.

Seaforth Farm Surgery District Nurses

The district nurses provide nursing care to those who are unable to get to the surgery. This could be for example, for dressings after an operation or if someone needs support during a long illness. They can be contacted direct on Hailsham 01323 446987. If they are out visiting you can leave a message on their answering machine.

The friendly and helpful team ensure the smooth and efficient running of the patient reception . They do their best in what are sometimes difficult times. We are sure that you will find them always willing to help.
